Sports is about more than wins and losses and while we are committed to helping athletes find opportunities to play sports at the college level, we believe the most important thing is getting a college education. As an organization we are proud to award two $1,000 scholarships to 1 male & 1 female student who best represents true leadership in sports and life. We encourage all current high school seniors who competed in a sport at the high school level to apply for the AAAE/SDLoyal Sports Leadership Scholarship. The winner will be selected by the AAAE Scholarship Committee.

Who is Eligible

High school student athletes who will be attending college Fall 2021

What’s the Criteria? 

• Write an essay(1,000 words or less) about a time you were the leader in an important moment on the field or in your community. Describe what you did and what you learned from that experience.
• Submit a letter of recommendation from your High School coach or Athletic Director with your essay & application.
• Write and send “Thank You Letter” to SD Loyal.

More Details

• The scholarship can be applied towards the cost of tuition, books or room and board. The scholarship winner will have a check disbursed directly to them.
• The scholarship will be renewed for one year with proof of enrollment and maintaining a 2.5 GPA during the Freshman year.
